What is Patientfriends?
Patientfriends is a local support group made up of the general public. Its aims are to support people with any medical condition to get the best quality of healthcare within the NHS. Patientfriends offers help and support in all areas relating to NHS treatment. From difficulties in communicating with your GP, to specific concerns about the quality of healthcare, as well as patient rights issues. It is also open to those concerned about the standard of medical care that friends and family are receiving.
Patientfriends is also involved with positive campaigning and helping to problem solve and improve patient care issues. Instead of now where there is a whole load of individuals experiencing difficulties but being faced with a giant bureaucracy alone and unsupported. People will be given a chance to give their feedback. And the patient care issues and concerns that come up a lot be campaigned to be improved. By raising the profile of these issues in our communities and local media.
